About Me

footprints in the sands of time

i start along the path on this sandy shore
not knowing what to expect and so much to explore

i look out at the horizon where the land meets the sea
and i am filled with such amazement as how all this came to be

an eternal struggle between water and land
like life and death admist which i find myself to stand

and as i look back to the place from which i parted
i see an endless row of footprints from the place this journey started

each step each print individually so small
but without which the journey would not have been possible at all

a marvelous masterpiece
laid out for a short while before the waves cause them to cease

like footprints in the sands of time
only to be swept away without any reason or rhyme

and as i look forward i see a bend in the shoreline
like a lesson learned and wisdom gained in the mind

and what to expect at the horizon's bend
but the conclusion to this stories end?

that on and on the journey continues
and where you will reach is not the issue

but the path you took and each print you make
for each step is precious to the last step you ultimately take
