"homies for life"

funny how these words come out so easily from people's mouths...

"homies for life!"
"best friends forever"

and yet, when a so called "friend" or "homie" does something to disappoint you, you so readily let go and don't even try to reconcile, even when they try to come and apologize, you turn them away, all those countless hours you spent hanging out together, all those times you forsook your own family to be with your "friend," all for what? to be thrown away and forgotten just like that? my friend, that is not friendship at all, in fact, that is a bunch of nonsense and all the times you said "homies for life" and even calling me your "friend" was just a lie...and understand your hypocrisy, that even though you many times forsook your own family for your friend, they still took you back without question, then why can't you show the same the love to your so called "friend"...but i'll show you true friendship, that even if you turn away from me, even if you stop calling me friend because of a mistake, i will still take you back without a question, i will still seek reconciliation with you, because my friendship was not out of convenience or circumstance, if i consider you friend, you are a friend for life, no if's, ands, or buts...that i don't care if you don't consider me friend, i will continue to love you and be concerned for you, because the friend who can never disappoint me, the friend who will never turn me away, commands me to do so, even if you now consider me your enemy...that i will try to turn the other cheek to your blows in hopes that you will come to your senses and understand what true friendship is...
