as i gaze into the gray midnight sky
the stars twinkle and dance in the moonlit night
the air is calm as crickets play their nightly tunes
the streets all empty and illuminated by the moon
i find myself at peace as i listen to the whispers of my heart
the Lord reminding me that His love in me will never ever part
for no sin is too great or too small
for His love and grace has covered it all
that whether by night or by day
His Spirit is in me forever to stay
and for this i thank you Lord
and in Jesus name i pray...amen
